Camp '86 is an event meant to display positive support for the earth and environment by enjoying 24 hours outdoors. Camp ’86 will be held, during Earth Week on RPI’s ’86 Field, from noon Tuesday April 21st to noon Wednesday April, 22nd 2009. A variety of activates, entertainment, and programs will be scheduled throughout the event to make it even more fun and enjoyable for particapants, however everyone/anyone is invited to join at any time for as long as they desire. Participants will be allowed to “camp out” (ie. bring a tent and set up to spend the night out on the field) for environmental solidarity. For sure I will be there.

“Hippie Olympics”. If you have an idea for an event please share it. The more input and feedback (and ideas that are not my own) will only make this awesome event even better. So far it is: Frisbee throw, hackie sack juggling (no hands), handstand competition, one leg stand competition…for some small prize.

Other ideas include:

  • Entertainment (Juggling club, Outing club, Capoeira, Cycling club, Experimental Error, Sheer Idiocy,
  • Music (Drum circle, Acoustic set, Ground Zero, DJ’s, WRPI, UPAC Sound)
  • Food (Terra Café, BBQ)
  • Movie (project on building, hang screen from goalpost)
