Student Sustainability Task Force (SSTF)
- Campus organization dedicated to sustainability initiatives on campus
- Currently working to get several buildings to reduce energy use
- If interested in doing something active, feel from to come to the meetings
- Meetings Thursday 4:30-5:30 in the Shelnutt Gallery Rm 3206
Engineers for a Sustainable World (ESW)
- Project based organization
- Currently building a bio-digester to help local farmers
- Had students go down to Haiti after the earthquake to construct a solar-powered computer system
- Next week will be a speaker from an organization regarding sustainable development
- Meetings Mondays 4-5:30 but next week's meeting will start at 4:30
Plans for Future Meetings
Watching the Cove over the course of the next 2 weeks
- The cove is a documentary film about the vicious killing of dolphins in Taiji, Japan
Early October will be elections for officer positions
