We are in the process of developing our main focus projects for this semester, but here are some of the things we are working on.

This is in large part a PR project focused on getting information about both EcoLogic and environmental issues out to the campus population.

A campus wide quest to reduce our individual impact on the planet.

The Union provided us with a wonderful space to use as our library and education center, how can we make the most of it?
- At our last meeting:
- We created our own 'recycling center' in the EEC and labeled separate bins. (paper, plastic, cans, batteries, and ink cartridges)
- Is there anything we could do to improve this?
- Does this confuse people because there is single stream recycling throughout the RPI campus?
- We also donated our old microwave and stereo the the electronics club
- We placed the plants on the black shelves and put up some posters.
- Should we hang up recycled mobile artwork or something of the sort?
- Organization:
- How can we organize our materials better? There have been some complaints in the past from the admin about our space looking "unpresentable."
- Should we request more storage space?

We should pick a day once a month to just pick up garbage around campus and Troy.
[edit] Tray Free Dining

This is a project which SSTF and Sodexo has been working on, trying to gain support among the students for tray free dining halls. This saves a surprising amount of waste but has been met with some resistance in the past.

Ecologic is working with ESW and the Student Senate to rethink and remake the way we do recycling on campus.
- We're currently working with SSTF on improving the awareness of single stream recycling on campus.
- Idea: should we start an ecologic recycling task force?
- We can collect e-waste and have it picked up by RPI?

Earth Fest is a during Earth Week on which we celebrate Earth Day and the environment. It is often a crazy party.

Ecologic organizes a week of events in the spring, around Earth Day, to celebrate the environment, and because it's a lot of fun.

Building a network of EcoLogic alumni who will support EcoLogic and a larger network of RPI graduates interested in, or with jobs in, environmental issues.

The EcoHall Challenge: the six freshman residence halls will compete against each other to see who can use the least amount of energy. We partner with RHA to organize this every spring.
